This National Park Week (with a perfect start on Earth Day!) we are going to be sharing some of our favorite places from the parks. First up is Grand Teton National Park. We’ve been here in both the fall and spring, and we can’t tell you which one is better. In the fall we got the chance to see a significant amount of wildlife since they are most active during this time. In the spring, we got beautiful wildflowers shooting up in the meadows. Either way, the Tetons are one of our favorite places to hike.
We don’t know about you, but we love getting lost on a good backroad.
There’s something about hiking on a stormy day that is far more magical. The sense of endurance is higher, the sense of alone is greater - and quite frankly, we almost prefer it. So here’s to waking up to rain, and going anyway 🙌🏻
The two very best friends. Bear is obsessed with Tom and won’t leave his side for a second. This is a big reason we love to take him with us as much as we can. Plus, he’s a pretty good hiker
Road trip dreaming. Happiest when there is nothing in front of us but a dirt road.
The closer and closer we get to finishing the camping trailer, the more and more nostalgic we are getting about all the amazing times we had in this baby. But not to fear. She will still come with us - likely even on top of the trailer (we’ll call it a two-story camp!). We will try to upload photos as the build happens so y’all can see it come to life. And thanks for everyones recommendations on color!
Planning a road trip can sometimes be a serious puzzle. We’re in the middle of planning one for this summer with our *new* trailer that we can’t wait to see finished 🙌🏻. We see a lot more trucking on trails in our future versus flying cross country - and we couldn’t be more excited that kind of adventure. What do you prefer?
Immediately before our dog saw some mountain bikers coasting by and left us for a fun chase. Not such a fun chase for Tom.
Let’s talk about the sunsets from our house 🔥.
Having a state park as your backyard certainly has it’s everyday advantages
Pupparino on his own mission. Sometimes we plan our route based only on where he goes. Doesn’t always work out.
Sometimes the most beautiful sunsets are right out your front door
Things we can’t believe - it’s been 4 years since this day! We have certainly had countless adventures since, and with a little one on the way, they are only going to get greater.
Not going to lie, crossing this swollen river wasn’t exactly the easiest thing to accomplish - but a few strategic steps later - we made it. (Wet shoes and all)
Spring is on its way and we are anxiously waiting for the bloom. We’ve always loved winter, but can anyone really ignore the energy of spring?
Trail maintenance at work ⚠️
Somedays you take the same path you’ve always known, and somedays you try something new. We leave that up to Bear 😂
It’s finally getting warm in our neck of the woods - and we’re ready for it 🙌🏻
